THE JOURNEY WITH THE NEW ME

Eye catching, alluring, and definitely the right place for your dream vacation. I’m talking about the island of PUERTO GALERA located at Mindoro, Philippines. This place was so beautiful that you will be mesmerized to the point that you don’t want to miss a chance of being there. With its hospitable, trustworthy people, you’ll be comfortable enough and it’ll feel like home. Being in Puerto galera for the first time was a good experience. It has a lot of small islands in it. Different creatures can also be seen in Puerto. They also have delicacies like “cassava cake”. And their food is so great like what we eat at bulabod beach, its “itlog na pula na may kasamang kamatis at toyo”. Puerto galera is really a must see paradise.

The time we got there, I was so shocked to the simplicity and freshness of the place.  When we talked to their people they’re so kind and friendly. We ride a jeep to get to Puerto nirvana resort. The resort is the perfect place to stay if you just want to relax or enjoy the place. During our first night, we had already a lot of activities like cheering competition and getting to know your members. Our dean let us continue our party and swim the whole night. Even if we only had a short sleep we’re still alive and cheerful the next day. Because the next day was full of activities too. It is planned only for amazing race and it was really fun. That’s the first time I do things like that, like riding jeep that was designed by the Puerto galera people. The most exciting game that day that really made each team act and work as one is the “palo-sebo”. And the most memorable one was the “trust the shepherd” game. After the game we came back to the resort and that night we had an event called “UCC got talent” and “Mr. & Ms. Bikini Open”. It’s fun because one of my best friend joined the event, but even though she didn’t win, we’re still proud of her. The next day is our last day, we went to the last beach in our itinerary, the “Haligue Beach”. We’ve done snorkeling there. Honestly speaking, it’s my first time do snorkeling and I was so amazed by the beauty of ocean of Philippines. Their sea creatures are amazing. Seeing their “coral garden” and “fish feeding” are the two of the best experience I had that tour. After snorkeling we went back to the resort then start packing our things because we’re going back to manila.

Three days and two nights are so short for that tour. We’re all happy and satisfied to the experiences Puerto gave us and we still want to stay there but of course all things have limitations. But Puerto Galera will be forever in our hearts and in our mind because for all first year students, it’s the first but the most memorable tour. If there’s “first love never dies” for me, “first tour can never be forgotten”. After this experience, I’m now looking forward for the next travel we will have because those experiences changed me from being shy to confident one. I’m not that totally confident like other tourism student but I’m sure sooner or later I will be. I can prove to those people that I am accountable for every task they’ll give to me. Puerto Galera taught me a lot of things that I am now applying to my life. Now I can say that this fresh, beautiful and virgin island is really an “escape world to this stressful earth”.
